2023 MEET STATS: 39 - 103 / $172.60 (-$33.40) BEST BETS: 8 - 10 / $23.70 (+$3.70) Best Bet: KEYSTONE DASH (5th) Spot Play: PEACE OUT POSSE (8th) Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (7) CHUPPAH ON came right off the shelf and into the winner's circle after sitting a pocket trip last week. Mare moves all the way outside but that shouldn't be a major problem as we've seen her clear the field into the first turn multiple times in the past. (4) BETTER WATCH IT rallied well to be second best in her last two and the Garcia-Herrera trainee is the textbook definition of "knocking on the door". (1) LINE EM UP has been a steady presence at this level for Bongiorno and I'm sure that Joe B will be looking to protect position early to work out a trip. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 3-5YO NW3 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace (4) OAKWOOD VEGAS IR overcame a tough eight-hole trip to be third best last week; Burke import gets post relief and faces softer competition than he's been used to. Short price looming but he looks like a solid play. (2) SAULSBROOK BOOMER doesn't have much of a career record with just one win in 31 tries but he raced pretty well at Freehold first time in the Andrew Harris barn and perhaps the recent Canadian import can make some noise here. (5) COALFORD BYTHESEA gave a decent accounting of himself in his local debut and could have more to offer; don't ignore. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 3-6YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace (3) RB cut a pretty strong clip on the engine last out and did give way pretty badly in a race that ultimately went in 1:53 flat. Prior efforts were all good so obviously if he isn't used too hard to work out a trip he can take this. (8) GREG THE LEG returns from The Meadowlands now second-time Lasix and he seems to have the early speed to fire out if Gingras chooses. After burning money in his last two local tries he'll be a price tonight. (2) TWO FACED has been very good in three starts at the NW2 level after arriving from Canada; we'll see how he handles the step up to NW4. Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) SHEIKH YABOOTY N hasn't been at her best recently but she finds a very good spot here to turn things around versus a soft field. (1) CORAL BELLA has early speed starting from the rail and she figures to get away no worse than the pocket facing rivals with little recent form. Like the top choice she appears to be in a good spot. (7) HEY HEY DBAY steps up to this level but was super in defeat last start and two back Bartlett blasted with her from the eight hole; she's intriguing at her 15/1 morning line. Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) KEYSTONE DASH just missed from the pocket in his return from the layoff and now he gets to face a softer field while drawing a good post again. He clearly looks like the one to beat. (3) CONBOYVILLE never got involved last week but passed a few tired ones late. He too drops and lands a better post. (1) KINGSVILLE didn't show a whole lot last week when bet down to 6/5; hard to accept a short price again. Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (3) LUCIANO N finished third best behind the two well-rated frontrunners last week when dropped to this level; oldtimer can make the front here and take these a long way. (5) JUSTA LITTLE BIT A rallied to be second best last out and gets Bartlett in the bike tonight with Siegelman driving #2, who he owns. (4) ONE OFF DELIGHT A paced evenly in his last few; recently added Lasix. Race 7: 3-6YO NW 4-6-8 races or $50K,$75K, $100K lifetime handicap Pace (3) JAY BRACKEN A dominated in his local debut, then missed almost a month before resurfacing in the Engblom barn, and he rallied stoutly from post eight to just miss. Import is clearly the one to beat here. (2) DP REALORDEAL was good here last season after arriving from the Midwest and he gets needed post relief after that brutal trip last week. (5) LOU'S BEACH added Lasix last start and went wire-to-wire; Burke trainee meets better here but has a shot to hit the ticket. Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) PEACE OUT POSSE is accustomed to facing better than these and he was only a length off at the finish last start at the NW20000 level; Joe B is back driving and I look for him to put this gelding in play early. (4) THE REGULATOR dominated lesser at odds-on last week and only has to face moderately tougher going for two straight. (2) PURPLE POET also beat cheaper last out and draws well again. Race 9: NW7746 in last 5 starts Pace (4) INDICTABLE HANOVER had been hinting at a better effort and got that confidence-boosting win when dropped to the basement. Engblom trainee now steps back up a notch and doesn't seem to meet any serious threats. (1) KING TRITTON A moves inside for Team Bongiorno and can complete a chalky exacta. (3) YER SO BAD gets post relief and will be much closer to the action up front. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace This has become a popular class with three divisions on tonight's card. (7) MILLWOOD BONNIE N faces a bit of a challenge from post seven tonight but if Yannick can get her to the front without too much trouble she may prove tough to catch going for her fourth straight. (5) SHECANDANCE N was in too tough in her last two but she won her prior two races at this level. (1) CALLMEQUEENBEE A loses Bartlett to #5 but picks up Holland and from the rail she can carve out a share. Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) BURNHAM BOY N had a couple of eye-opening efforts at The Meadowlands to start his North American career then never got involved when shipped across the river after a sick scratch. Tonight he lands a much better post while facing a bit easier and could be primed for a big effort. (4) SETH HANOVER also drops from the same race as the top choice and he's been consistent all season. (3) BOILING OAR has been solid since arriving locally for Cullipher and he looks like a must-use on the ticket.
