One of the few states to be exempted from the near-nationwide ban on sports betting enacted in 1992, Oregon has had mobile wagering since 2019, but its exclusive arrangement with DraftKings means options are limited.

In 1989, the Oregon Lottery debuted Sports Action, an analog means for people to make parlay wagers on football. The product had its share of critics, but its presence enabled Oregon to be one of the few states exempted from the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), which went into effect in 1992.
The Oregon Legislature sunsetted Sports Action in 2007, however, and it would be 12 long years before legal sports wagering surfaced in the Beaver State again. While a handful of tribal casinos now accept retail wagers of all kinds, DraftKings, through an arrangement with the Oregon Lottery, is Oregon's exclusive statewide mobile provider.
Some major athletic movers and shakers – including homegrown Nike – have sought to challenge the status of DraftKings's mobile monopoly. But until that day comes, Oregonians will have to be content with their lone online option for sports wagering.

DraftKings has one of the most eclectic and thorough betting menus in the industry. Its Oregon offerings include baseball, basketball, boxing, cricket, cycling, darts, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, MMA, motorsports, rugby, snooker, soccer, surfing, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball, among other sports.
There is no betting on college sports in Oregon via the DraftKings mobile app. However, retail sportsbooks on tribal properties – including the BetMGM Sportsbook at Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde – are permitted to offer wagering on collegiate events, including those involving in-state schools like Oregon and Oregon State.
Daily fantasy sports contests exist in a gray area in Oregon, where the legislature has never taken up the issue of their legality. But while FanDuel and other major DFS providers are active in Oregon, DraftKings does not offer its DFS products in the state as part of its agreement to be the lottery's exclusive sports betting partner.
Oregonians can bet on horses online via account wagering or at off-track betting parlors located around the state. Most OTBs are located in or around Portland, which was once home to Portland Meadows racetrack. A functional OTB is about all that's left of that track, but Grants Pass Downs in the southern portion of the state and a handful of fairs still host live racing.
