Friday’s card at Golden Gate offers fans a pair of important prep races for upcoming stakes.
Six older sprinters being pointed to the Nov. 15 Oakland will compete at six furlongs in the third race. Trained by Sergio Ledezma, Streamside has won the last four times he has raced at six furlongs and is 9 for 16 at the distance in his career.
Eight 2-year-olds will compete at 5 1/2 furlongs in Friday’s fifth race, a prep for the six-furlong Golden Nugget on Nov. 8.
