Woodbine: Best Gift of All back on Polytrack for Friday allowance

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – The versatile mare Best Gift of All will go back to Polytrack on Friday at Woodbine in the featured eighth race, a 1 1/16-mile allowance for Ontario-sired females.

Best Gift of All, who wintered in Florida with trainer Katerina Vassilieva, was a troubled fourth in her first appearance of the meet in an allowance on grass June  12. She subsequently beat nonwinners-of-two Ontario-sired allowance opposition traveling 1 1/16 miles on Polytrack.

Monmouth: Long-absent Partyallnightlong returns in sprint co-feature

Partyallnightlong will make his first start since winning the Dan Horn at the Meadowlands in May 2012 on Friday in a six-furlong sprint at Monmouth.

OCEANPORT, N.J. – Eddie Broome hopes the “Party” continues Friday afternoon at Monmouth Park.

Broome has his fingers crossed as the talented but fragile Partyallnightlong launches his latest comeback. A 6-year-old, Partyallnightlong makes only his second start in the last two years in a $46,000 third-level allowance that is also open to $50,000 claimers going six furlongs.

Northlands Park: Brady's Tomboy risks streak in Friday optional claimer

Brady’s Tomboy is taking a substantial step up in class, but she is a very sharp horse right now and might be good enough to win her fourth straight race when she runs in a $35,000 optional claimer at Northlands Park on Friday. DEL MAR, Calif. – Sweet Lulu, who remained unbeaten with a hard-fought victory in the Test Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday, is likely to be pointed to the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said Tuesday on a national teleconference.

The BC Filly and Mare Sprint, like the Test, is at seven furlongs on dirt.

Midsouth notes: Dates set for Remington Park, Will Rogers Downs

The Oklahoma Racing Commission has awarded Remington Park in Oklahoma City a 67-date meet for Thoroughbreds for 2014 from Aug. 15 through Dec. 14. The track also was granted a 50-date meet for Quarter Horses from March 7 to June 1.

Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla., was awarded a 32-date meet for Thoroughbreds from March 3 to May 17. The track’s meet for Quarter Horses is set to run 28 dates next year from Sept. 6 to Nov. 8.
