Super Corredora sidelined with illness

Barbara D. Livingston
Super Corredora will miss the Santa Anita Oaks and Kentucky Oaks after developing an illness.

A recent illness has put Super Corredora, the champion 2-year-old filly of 2025, on the sidelines until later this year.

Co-owner Terry Finley of West Point Thoroughbreds wrote in a text message on Friday that Super Corredora will be given a rest in Kentucky this spring “for some sunshine and grass."

“She will return later in the year,” he wrote.

The setback will prevent Super Corredora from running in the major stakes for 3-year-old fillies this spring, such as the Grade 2 Santa Anita Oaks on April 4, or the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs on May 1.
